Through the last five years, our families have experiences both loss and gain; with the most important gain for us being Mr. Chase!!! For our five year, wanted to get away. We decided that we needed to take him with us on our mini vacation-to Diamond Mine Park in Murfreesboro, AR.
As soon as we got settled into our little rental house, and got Chase to bed-of course I had to make us a red velvet cake to celebrate! (too bad the house didn't have any normal baking pans,)I had to use the loaf pan I (LUCKILY) had, I had decided to make banana bread for the trip, so I atleast had that pan! Cake was yummy, and still looked kinda cute too.
As you can see, we hightailed it to the Diamond Park bright and early the next morning to find mommy something shiny. We were there for quite a while, but didn't find anything-darn! Chase helped as he could, but he just kept digging himself deeper and deeper in the hole-heehee!
And finished our trip with a visit to the local indian village---the KaDoHa Indians...like that clever potty sign!
It was here that we found our crystals (I think they planted them in the 'digging/excavating' area, but I'm not complaining!) and saw some of the oldest indian burial mounds in the area--we thought it was pretty cool.
I loved this first vacation with my Chase, and loved relaxing and spending time with my family. Hopefully, we can do more trips this summer before Chase starts PRESCHOOL in September! I can't believe that in only five years I was able to have the best time of my life with my beloved, and spend 3 amazing years watching Chase become such a big, bright, smart little boy. Looking forward to many more years laughing, loving, and enjoying all the gifs that God grants me in this life--I am so very thankful for anniversaries, thankful that we have reason to celebrate so much in eachother!!!
